Absztrakt (kivonat)

Bats have outstanding acoustics among mammals. Recording and analysing bat calls can provide valuable information on these protected and vulnerable animals. In Hungary, the Pettersson D500X bat detector is used mostly to record bat calls. With the help of this device we can get huge amounts of data within a short period, without disturbing the bats. The recorded calls can be divided into three categories based on the shape of the sonograms: FM, FM-QCF and FM-CF-FM calls. The value of the strongest frequency of the calls is also an effective parameter during the identification process. The species identification of the calls is not accomplishable in many cases, thus we need to work with such groups that include several species of one genus or more general.
