Absztrakt (kivonat)
In Benedek Kiss’ world the plastic poetry of historic and commonplace realities is born in the organic unity of life and poetry and in the oscillating synthesis of vision and reality. While the poet makes poetry from his life, he creates another life out of his poetry. He manages to implement this with such delicate linguistic structuring and semantical ingenuity that allows the realization of per fect simultaneity and complete complementarity of story and history inside the spaces of memory and layers of time of the poems. Benedek Kiss is an exceptional poet who is like King Midas in a way: everything he touches turns to gold. A new poem is born no matter what aspect of life he touches upon. This phenomenon sees through his whole career. Poetry woven into reality and reality elevated to poetry are the two basic features that ultimately give the linguistic and poetic essence of Benedek Kiss’artistic work.
