Absztrakt (kivonat)
In my book I deal with language variativity in different dialects of the Hungarian language used in Slovakia. Thevariativity shows the existence and functioning of variants, they occur together in language use. Variants are those types of language variations which are similar in form; equivalent in denotative, lexical and grammatical meaning, but their pragmatic meanings are different, so they are used in different real life situations and communication. I have been studying with this area because it’s known among Hungarian and Slovakian linguists; but the analysis of variativity is mostly mixed with variability because in sociolinguistics variativity is a subcategory of variability. We have to clarify the theoretical part of the language variativity because it’s a less known area of semantics. That’s the reason of isolating the similar meaning relations from variativity; and purifying linguistic terms connected with variants. The analysis of language variativity in different dialects of the Hungarian language used in Slovakia is important, because probably more variants exist in those dialects, than in different dialects used by native Hungarians living in Hungary. That’s because the Hungarian vocabulary used in Slovakia contains young lexical items, which are not used so far. In my work I deal not just with theoretical issues of variativity, but with the presence of variants in Hungarian grammar textbooks used in Slovakia and also with the role of variants in different communicational situation (a questionnaire was used). Researching and analysing textbooks play an important part of pedagogy, because the quality of the tools and the curriculum are the most important parts of the learning process. Monitoring the quality of the textbooks in those countries where the minority groups are learning their native language (e.g.: Hungarians living in Slovakia) is primarily important because they can vary from those textbooks which are used in the parent state (e.g.: Hungary). Minority books sometimes transmit less knowledge. I have prepared semantic handouts which help students to acquire the curriculum – connected with variativity – considering their dialects and their knowledge about their native language and their bilingualism.
