Absztrakt (kivonat)

A list of the freshwater molluscs inhabiting thermal waters that flow into Eger Stream in Hungary was compiled. The aim of this research was to investigate the mollusc fauna of the stream’s thermal section and to search for two endangered species that were previously mentioned in the literature (Fagotia accicularis var. Audebardi Prévost and Borysthenia naticina). Nine species of mollusc were detected at 3 sampling sites. Four species were exotic: Haitia acuta, Melanoides tuberculata, Planorbella dury and Potamopyrgus antipodarum. These species originated from North America, East Africa, West Asia and New Zealand and were probably introduced into Eger Stream by aquarists. Another five detected native species are not endangered in Hungary. The exotic species Melanoides tuberculata was the most abundant taxa, moreover the exotic species were the most abundant (98,1%) compared to the native species in the thermal section of the stream.
