Absztrakt (kivonat)
Relationship Networking of Miklós Horthy ----- There are not any relevant analysis on the journal (kept in the National Archives of Hungary, National Archives) recording Miklós Horthy’s daily activities between January 1, 1923 and March 5, 1930 in the academic literature on his life, activities, military and mainly political role. The journal was written by his adjutants. The governor’s activities during the Bethlen-era consolidation can be specified by the analysis of this document. Indeed, how often and with whom Miklós Horthy met, now can be factually published. His meetings with the head of the government, ministers, military leaders and public figures carry the gravest importance from the aspect of political history. However, this study also reveals additional information in social history, true, closely linked to public history, as it discusses what representatives of social groups had relationship with the governor. This shows, for example, what his relationship was like to the aristocracy, whose role in the public life was constantly shrinking after the WWI. To summarize: Miklós Horthy’s head of state’s activities during the 1920s can be more precisely presented – by focusing on his relationship network, and elite groups with relevance of social history – based on the journal on his daily activities and other sources.
