General and special ruled surfaces play a central role in several CADapplications. The purpose of this paper is to develop a method with the help of which one canconstruct free-form ruled surface for given lines as rulings. The Kohonen neural network and thePlücker coordinates of projective geometry help us to construct a standard free-form surface forthese data.
