Sajólád is sittuated in the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, in the microregion of the areas of Sajó-Hernád plains. The fluvial cone of the Sajó-Hernád plain is sittuated in 90–161 meters height above the sea level. We have done the research work about the territorial appearance of geological, geomorphological, botanical and zoological values since 2003. This region mostly consists of Holocene and Pleistocene sediments (like as loess and clay, washed loess, and infused loess). As geomorphological values should be mentioned: Holocene alluvium divided by backwaters and bedremains and Holocene fluvial terraces. We have categorized the spatial distribution of botanical and zoological values in the settlement and we could pointed out that the Sajólád Wood is the most interesting and valuable area here.
