(Stylistical characteristics in Kálmán Mikszáth's short story entitled 'Az öreg Prikler néni') One of the most artistic short stories by Mikszáth was written in 1882. The study is mainly based on textual semantic analysis: the merging of the semantic ranges proves the unity of its structure. The short story belongs to the classical type with closing plot at the end. The characters' place in the work and their subordinate or co-ordinate position can be pointed out by special semantic analysing methods. As a result of this procedure the author declares that both figures are equally important in this short story.
